HI! Very nice site, and indeed, nicer trip!! Im a tiny biker my self, and still plan on doing something GREAT.(for now just Portugal coast and Caminho de Santiago) Loved the quote of the portuguese explorer! Congrats!

To think that I was once in touch with Andy about doing this odyssey of a bike trip. Now, many months later, the missed journey buried somewhere in my subconscious, I venture onto this website (instead of into Vietnam, or wherever you folks are at the moment). What serendipity! I needed this wake-up call. Cycle onwards! With peace, Kat

Great site. I enjoyed the stories and talking to one of your comrades in Hanoi a few weeks back. A small point to make; leave the media stuff off eh? Gets a bit boring to read boastful self-indulgent stuff. And how much was actuall done by bicycle?

Hi guys!

Just viewed your website. Inspiring, I must say. I am an Estonian who has spent his past 7 months in Malaysia and is staying definitely for another 6. I'm going on a trip of my own to Borneo next week, but in the summer time I plan to travel to either on Thailand-Laos-Vietnam route or to Tibet instead (haven't decided yet).

Anyway, once you reach Malaysia, it would be really great to meet up with you to hear some of these stories from the real people!

Good luck!

Dear friends, with great interest I read your diary., especially because it coexists with my route through Russia, Baikal, Ulan-Ude, Ulan-Bator, Beijing. And I was happy to read that Russia steal your hearts. I am a man on Brompton Folding bike you met in the Internet cafe in Ulan Bator. I am at home and I am really jealous to you because you are on the road. Nothing can be better than been on the road.

Johnson, sorry the diary isn't so clear. I've tried to present it in the best way possible.
The sections which appear in the page run in order where the current one has the latest entry at the top. All the others run from earliest entry to latest.
If you click the 'Full Diary' button you'll get the whole glorious 40,000 words, chronologically, on one page.
The reason the diary is split into sections is because Toby is so bloody prolific!
Best wishes...

I am just curious, how's the ladies looking. Remember you are representing
America. Leave no stones unturned. Take care and keep the wonderful
stories rolling. I hope one of you guys write a book. I will get as many
people that I know to buy it. I think your trip would make an excellent
movie. We in America (at least in Austin, Texas) are proud of you all.
What great stories you will be able to tell for the rest of your lives.
I really do envy you for doing this. People always talk about doing
things, but you guys are actually doing it. Please be safe and have fun.

I've been reading your journals with great interest since your mammoth journey began and there is one striking fact that perhaps I, and any others that have travelled with you in the past, will notice as a conspicuous omission. I simply cannot believe that in the few thousand miles you have covered to date there are no stories of you being accosted by the various dirty old men of the world in showers, hotel foyers, roadside cafes etc. Can this be true?
